Yahoo will auto bill you only when your existing account balance runs low (between 2.00-3.00 depending on your daily budget). You can view your existing account balance in the top right hand corner of your Budgeting page. This is not the amount that you owe Yahoo, this is simply how much money that you have to spend on clicks. Once this amount runs low, Yahoo will charge you a specified amount. You can change this amount by backspacing on the amount underneath the words Check this box to specify a different amount as seen in the picture below.
Yahoo charges a 50.00 activation fee to open your PM account. Pacific Beach Online Inc. also provides customers with a promotional 50.00 to ad to your PM account. So, your total budget that you have once your accounts are active is a 100.00 amount for your PM account to spend on click charges.
How to Manage Your Bids PM Account In order to view and change your bids in your PM account you can click on the Manage Sponsored Search tab and then click on the Manage Bids link located underneath the Money Manager tab. This link will bring you to the Sponsored Search - Manage Bids page.

PM allows you to put your sponsored website in the top spots in the Yahoo search engines. Key Terms for PM a. Keywords - phrases that will bring up your sponsored website link in the search engine. b. Standard Match Position - your position in the search engine, 1st, 2nd 3rd, and so on. c. Your Cost - tells you how much you are paying for a keyword per click. d. Your Max Bid - is the amount of money that you are biding (not necessarily the amount of money you are paying) for each keyword as can be seen in the example below. When you look at the keyword home for sale libertyville you can see that the bid cost is different than your cost. The bid is .70, however in Yahoo you only pay .01 more than the person bidding behind you. The person bidding behind this customer is paying .60, so the customer will only pay .61.
In order to change your bids you simply backspace on the max bid amount and enter in the amount that you choose. Then click on the update bids button in the Your Max Bid column and your bids will update.
The Top 5 Max Bid column displays other customers within Yahoo that are bidding for the same keyword that you have. Clicking on The Bid Tool will allow you to see in detail the description of your website and others bidding for the same keyword. For more information on bidding and your PM account click on this link below: http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/performance/customer/dtc/bidding Pausing Your Account You have the option to pause your Yahoo account at any time. Simply click on the Manage Sponsored Search tab at the top of the page. Then click on the grey Category On/Off button. Click the down arrow, select offline and click on the submit button. (Note: If you choose to pause your accounts and do not spend over 20.00 a month in click charges- you will still be charged a twenty dollar amount service charge for every month that you do not spend at least 20.00.

Budgeting In order to setup your budget in Google you can click on the link at the left hand side of the page called Campaign #1. At the top of the next page click on Edit Campaign Settings and enter your daily budget amount.
Your click charges will not go over your daily budget.

How to Manage Your Bids In order for you to change your specific Ad Group click budget or bids budget, click on one of your Ad Groups.

At the top left hand corner of the page you will see Current Maximum CPC: USD $1.03. Click on edit, and you can set your budget for your clicks. (Note: Google bids work differently than Overture. Google rotates your ads in and out of the top spots in Google, so you cannot set yourself in a specific position). For example if you set your keyword budget at .82. Your click charges will be based on the position that Google rotates you into. So, you will be charged between .10 to .82 per click. The higher maximum cost per click and click-through rate that you set means a higher position in Google and more clicks to your website.

Google Billing Practices Google bills you on a 30 day billing cycle. Google charges a 5.00 activation fee to open your account, and will bill you monthly based on your daily budget and click charges. In order to view your billing charges click in the green My Account tab at the top of the page.
